Oriel STAT A MATRIX is a global consulting and training firm focused on regulatory compliance in the life sciences sector.

We are currently seeking to add a Senior Vice President of Consulting Services to our team. Candidate will work out of corporate office in Union, NJ. However, telecommuting out of home office is an option for the right candidate.The role will be responsible for managing our outside sales team. The outside team manages the sales process for high-value RA/QA consulting and training engagements to medical device and IVD manufacturers. When fully staffed this team will have a total of 5 VPs in the US and Europe.

This is a hands-on Sales Management role-working closely with your team and other senior members of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage the outside sales team, leading each member to meeting or exceeding their objectives and targets.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of a strategic account strategies for current clients and target clients.
  • Develop sales pans to roll out to expand specific services.
  • Oversee the management of all phases of the business development cycle to support team members to successfully close, including opportunity development, proposal development, project scoping, client presentations, negotiation and close.
  • Work with technical leads to identify and support new product offerings by monitoring regulatory trends, market trends and customer needs.
  • Work with CEO and SVP Delivery to manage pricing models.
  • Work with marketing for consistency in messaging across all communication channels
  • Work with VP of Seminar Sales. VP Seminar Sales oversees the sales of our public training offering. Coordination between her team and the outside sales team is a critical element for success as opportunities tend to flow out of one channel to the other.
Technology
  • Ensure teams use of CRM is optimized and supports sales process. (Salesforce, and Financial Force PSA)
  • Identify opportunities for systems optimization in the sales cycle, work with internal technology and IT resources to design and implement.
  • Leverage CRM to generate revenue.
Leadership
  • Member of firms Management Team
  • Active leadership role in maintaining relationships with firms consultants.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a sales organization that sells services or products sold to Medical Device manufacturers.
  • Experience with complex consulting solutions considered a plus.
  • Experience with a management consulting firm selling to the medical device sector.
  • Experience in promoting products at C level and delivering boardroom presentations.
  • Quality, regulatory, and process improvement solution sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to push for results.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required.

Travel:  Travel required, domestic and international.
